Successor of Anandiben to be announced on Friday

Gandhinagar: After the Gujarat Chief Minster Anandiben Patel formally handed over her resignation to the Governor, The Bhartiya Janata party (BJP) to announce its new Chief Minster on Friday, according to senior party official said today.

The successor of Anandiben would be decided at a meeting of the BJP Legislator Party after national president Amit Shah will flies down here to supervise the changeover on Thursday, said the BJP state-in-charge Dinesh Sharma.

Dinesh said that announcement about the selection of new Chief Minister could be come on Friday on 3 pm.

The Governor O.P.Kohli requested Anandiben to continue as the working Chief Minster till the next CM will be decided.

Earlier, Anandiben resignation was accepted by the BJP Parliamentry Board.

Anandiben was accompanied by state BJP president and Cabinet Minister Vijay Rupani and several other senior ministers as well as Sharma when she met the Governor.
