Sunil Bansal sidelined from Amit Shah’s ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Lucknow, not even included in posters

Lucknow: BJP President Amit Shah visited Kakori today as part of the party’s ‘Tiranga Yatra’. To welcome the leader, almost all the workers of the party were present apart from the state general secretary, Sunil Bansal. Also, the posters which were put up across the state to welcome Shah did have pictures of Bansal, however they were hidden with the party’s logo. This clearly hints that there seems to be some kind of rift between him and the party.

Reports are that Bandal was up for the preparations for Shah’s welcome at Kakori Shaheed Smarak till 10 am; however he did not turn up to share dais with the BJP President. Shah was seen sharing the stage with Keshav Prasad Maurya, Dr Dinesh Sharma, MP Kaushal Kishore, and MLA Ashutosh Tandon among others.

The party workers, who are not happy with Sunil Bansal, said that when he does not meet anyone then there is no use keeping him on the banners of BJP. Also, their anger was seen in Sandila where a BJP leader GP Singh put a picture of the ‘lotus’ on top of Bansal’s in a poster put up here. Another party worker, Ram Naresh said that Bansal is nowadays busy with ‘big’ people.

Party’s Youth leader, Shiv Kumar in his statement said that Sunil Bansal has introduced corporate culture within the party that has thereby sidelined the party workers working at a low level and because he is the party general secretary of the state, no action is taken against him.

Also, reports are that the state in-charge of the party, Om Mathur has been keeping unhappy with Bansal too. Complaints of Bansal have been made to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah following which it is believed that this is the reason why he was kept away from sharing the stage with Amit Shah. However, Shah named Bansal in his address.

Sunil Bansal is counted amongst the list of RSS workers. It is believed that Bansal is quite close to PM Modi and Shah.
