Survey shows 28 percent citizens not deposited demonetized notes till yet

New Delhi According to a survey conducted by LocalCircles, a community engagement platform informed that near about 28 percent of citizens have not deposited their old currency notes till yet.




The result of the survey shows that around 28% of respondents are yet to deposit their old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 in the banks and might be they were planning to submit it before the December 30th deadline given by the government.




This survey was conducted throughout the country that includes 150 cities which involves participation of over 800 citizens.

The figure of 28 percent indicates that they were yet to deposit the old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000.




On other hand, approximately 60 percent indicates that they have already deposited their old currency notes in the banks.

Interestingly, near about 8 percent people said that they don’t want or they don’t need to deposit their old notes while the remaining 4 percent people said that they will be using the old notes as they are still being accepted.
