Indian team have managed to get off to a brilliant start in the first innings of the first Test match played against the Sri Lanka at Galle. It was opener Shikhar Dhawan who with the help of the brilliant century gave India a solid platform smashing 180 of 160 balls not out with eight boundaries.
Cheteshwar Pujara is still at the crease along with Dhawan, while for Sri Lanka it was Pacer Dilruwan Perera who bagged the only wicket that had fallen in the morning session in the form of Indian opener Abhinav Mukund.
Mukund could not count on the opportunity he was given and fell victim to a poor shot selection with wicket-keeper Niroshan Dickwella catching the outside edge.
Electing to bat on winning the toss, the visitors were off to a steady start with Dhawan and Mukund handling the Lankan pacers quite comfortably.
