Team India thrash England by an innings and 75 runs, seals series by 4-0

Chennai: Host India team today defeated visitors England by an innings and 75 runs and clinched the Paytm five-match cricket Test series by 4-0 in the fifth and final match at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.




In today’s game for India side left-arm-spinner Ravindra Jadeja became hero for the team as he took figures of 7/48 which shattered the England team as the visitors were bundled out for 207 in the second innings.

Earlier, the home team scored a massive 759/7 before declaring their first innings in reply to England’s 477/10.




On other hand, Karun Nair who has scored triple-centurion walked away with the Man of the Match award for his unbeaten 303-run knock that set the tone for the victory.

The Indian team skipper Virat Kohli received Man of the Series memento for his contribution fot the team.




With this victory Indian team continues process of winning their ninth match of the year to stretch an unbeaten run to 18, the team India created and breaks many record in this series which includes their biggest ever series victory over the England.

From England side only six players were able to manage fifteen runs each for their team which resulted in their losing the game.




Celebration erupted in the stands at the M A Chidambaram Stadium, and the Indian players also broke into wild celebrations following the team’s fifth successive Test series win since September last year.
