Ten jawans killed in IED blast in Bihar; 3 Naxalites shot dead

Patna: On Monday night, around 10 CRPF commandos of the COBRA were killed in the IED blast which were triggered by Naxalites in the jungles of Bihar’s Aurangabad district. Also, three Naxalites were also killed in the encounter which was followed by the blast.

The blast took place in the Chakarbanda forests bordering Imamganj. The jawans also recovered some arms and ammunition from the site. Also, officials said that the number of deaths may rise as many jawans of the COBRA battalion were severely injured in the gunbattle.

Not much information has been received in the same as the phone connectivity in the area is not good.

The COBRA battalion jawans were deployed in the area to carry out anti-Naxal operations. So far, this is the biggest casualty reported in such kind of an operation.
