Terror bid foiled in Punjab; 3 suspected terrorists arrested from Hoshiarpur

Amritsar: On Wednesday, the Punjab Police averted a major attack by arresting three suspected terrorists from the Hoshiarpur district. Following arrest, the police also recovered three pistols and a dozen of bullet proof jackets from them.

In 2015, number of Pak based militants attacked an Air Force base her which led to the killing of seven security personnel and three terrorists. The attack on Pathankot Airbase was carried also by the JeM terrorists on January 2.

Recent reports suggest that the terror outfits Lashkar-e-Toiba and JeM have set up camps in Pakistan’s Punjab province where the terrorists are taking training from the Pakistani Army.

Also, the report further adds that the terrorists who belong to the various terror groups based in Pakistan are trying to infiltrate and hence carry out attacks here.
