Kanpur: As per the information given by the officials, death toll of people who have been killed in the Indore-Patna Express derailment near Kanpur has risen to 133.
Incident that took place near Kanpur yesterday is considered to be one of the worst rail disasters in the country that took place in decades. The number of people dead was confirmed by the Kanpur District Magistrate Office. So far, 58 victims have been identified.
More than 150 people suffered injuries in the accident that took place yesterday when 14 coaches of the trainran off the rails near Pukhrayan station, about 60 km from Kanpur city.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu visited the hospitals and said “High-level orders are being given to probe the accident.”
