Trump’s phone call to Taiwan makes China angry

Washington: According to the reports, telephonic conversation between US President-elect Donald Trump and Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen has turned out to be the prime reason for China’s anger.

From the time when Washington has broken its diplomatic relations with Taipei in 1979, this was the first bilateral contact between the US and Taiwan.

The discussion annoyed Beijing, where the officials stated: “We firmly oppose any official interaction or military contact between the US and Taiwan.”
