Turkey bomb attack: 17 killed 27 injured

Ankara: As per the information given by the official, minimum of 17 persons have been killed while 27 others got injured when militants staged a car bomb attack in Turkey’s Hakkari province.

Out of the 17 persons who lost their lives, there were nine soldiers and eight civilians. Officials blamed the attack on Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants.

Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said the country would “not surrender to terror organisations” and vowed that all who conducted attacks would pay the price. The PKK is listed as a terrorist organisation by the US, the European Union and Turkey.
