Tweet to Suresh Prabhu once again helps runaway girls unite with their families

Mumbai: Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is just one tweet away when it comes to helping those in need. There have been many instances when a tweet to the Minister has helped save a life or come to someone’s rescue. In a recent incident, a tweet to Prabhu helped two girls who were on a runaway, unite with their kin.

As per reports, two girls (18-year-old) ran away from the homes in 14 North Parganas after scoring fewer marks in the Class 12 CBSE Examination. Families of the girls filed a complaint with the police. Also, when the police began looking for the girls, they put their phones on surveillance and found that they were on-board a train heading for Mumbai.

Following this, father of one of the girls, wrote a distress tweet to Prabhu seeking help. Soon after this, the Railway Minister put the Railway Management on alert and as a result, the girls were found onboard the Gitajanli Express as soon as it reached the Nashik Road Station.

Previously, a tweet to Prabhu helped locate a 5-year-old girl who ran away with her 10th Grade Class Mate from Jharkhand.
