Under construction building collapses in Kanpur, 7 dead

In a shocking incident that took place today, more than hundred people got injured while several have lost their lives in the dreadful building collapse in Kanpur’s Jajmau area.

Building is reportedly owned by Mehtab Alam who is the Samajwadi Party leader. According to the information given by the SSP, four people died in the incident. However, according to the eyewitnesses more than 20 people lost their lives.

The incident took place when a seven storey under construction building collapsed. The material used in the build was of low quality and is said to be the prime reason for the mishap as of now.

Two of the nearby houses have been effected due to this incident and according to the reports there are large number of people are stuck under debris.

Several ambulances have been rushed to the spot and the rescue work is going on with the help of officials and common people present there. Several women and children are feared to have been stuck under the collapsed building.
