Unwell Dilip Kumar admitted to Lilavati hospital, tweets he is ‘feeling better’

Mumbai: Legendary Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar was hospitalised to Leelavati Hospital today morning after suffering from constant pain and swelling in one of his legs.

The experienced actor went to twitter and wrote, “Feeling much better now. Was admitted to Lilavati hospital for a routine checkup. Your prayers are with me.”




Saira Banu, who is the wife of Dilip Kumar and acted in many Bollywood films between 1961 and 1988. While talking to the media Saira Banu’s manager Murshid went on to say that: “He has been hospitalised today (Wednesday) morning. He complained of swelling in his right leg.”

The actor is 94-year-old and is under the observation and prescription of the doctors. All the people can breathe a sigh of relief as now he is much better and even was grateful to the team of the doctors who took proper care of him and further went on to tweet that: “A wonderful team of doctors here along with my personal physicians Dr. S Ghokale, Dr. Nitin Ghokale and Dr. R. Sharma.”

He also added, “Health is wealth said somebody. Mein aap sabhi ka mashkoor hoon ki aapne hamesha apni dua’on mein mujhe yaad rakha.”




Dilip Kumar last acted as the leading man in the movie “Qila” in 1998. The legend was first honoured by the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and then following was the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
