Unwell Sonia Gandhi skips CWC meet

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi who is reported to be unwell ahead of the party’s working committee meet that she was scheduled to chair today skipped the party meet.

According to Congress party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, Sonia Gandhi is suffering from sore throat and because of this she did not attended the meeting.

The Working Committee (CWC) meet will now be presided by her son and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.

The CWC is expected to discuss strategy for the upcoming winter session of Parliament besides party’s preparations for the upcoming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur.
