Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has today decided to conduct both Secondary Board (Class X) and Senior Secondary Board (Class XIIth) examination in the month of February from 16th for the year 2017.
According to sources from the education board, the UP Board Intermediate Examination for class 12th appearing students will begin on February 6th and will continue till March 20th.
On other hand, the UP Board High school examination will be held from February 16th and will finish on March 6th 2017.
Earlier, there were rumours that the Board Examinations 2017 will might get delay due to the upcoming state assembly elections lined up next year and due to clash in the dates of exam and elections the Board has decided to conduct little early about which the information has been given to election commission.
However, the announcement of the tentative UP Board Exam dates from 6th February has given hope to 65 lakh students, who will be appearing this year.
In 2016, a total of 37,49,977 appeared for the UP Board 10th Exam, whereas 30,43,057 participated in the UP Board Intermediate Exam.
But this year near about 60 lakh students are expected to participate in this year examinations from which about 34,04,471 will appear in class Xth and about 26,24681 will appear for class 12th. This means that total 60,29,152 lakh students from regular and private board have registered online.
The UP Board examination date sheet 2017 will be announced next week.
