UP Police detain woman constable for interrogation in BJP leader brutal attack case

Lucknow: On Saturday, the UP Police took a woman constable in custody for probe in connection with the attack on the BJP leader Brijpal Teotia.

The brutal attack which took place on Thursday in Ghaziabad at around 7:20 pm, around 100 rounds was fired from the AK-47 rifle at the convoy of Teotia.

Reports are that the woman constable, Sunita was married to gangster Rakesh Hasanpuria who was killed in a police encounter in 2003. She had then alleged that Teotia was behind the murder of her husband. Following this, it is believed that Sunita was the mastermind behind the attack on BJP. Teotia once used to work as a constable with the Delhi Police.

As of now, Teotia is recovering at Fortis hospital in Noida.

UP DGP Javeed Ahmad said that the case is being investigated by the police for all angles.
