New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today declared the final result of Civil Services Examination (CSE). A total of 1078 candidates have been recommended for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others. The full list of candidates who have been recommended for various Civil Services of the Government of India is available at www.upsc.gov.in .
The first position was bagged by Tina Dabi, a graduate from Lady Sri Ram College Delhi University. Aamir Ul Shari Khan Akthar and Jasmeet Singh Sandhu secured the second and third positions respectively.
The Civil Services Examination is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the UPSC for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India.
The examination is the toughest examination in India and has the least success ratio in the entire world. It is conducted in two phases – the Preliminary examination, consisting of two objective-type papers (General Studies and Aptitude Test), and the Main examination, consisting of nine papers of essay type followed by the Personality Test (Interview).
