Minsk (Belarus): Belarusian professional tennis player and two time grand slam champion Victoria Azarenka has confirmed that she will not be participating in Wimbledon Opens.
The player has confirmed this news on her twitter account and has said that due to knee injury she will not be playing Wimbledon this year and will miss the tournament.
Azarenka withdrew her name from the first round of the Roland Garros when she was playing against Italian player Karin Knapp, and after that she has not entered on the court even for practice session.
Born on July 31, 1989, this 26-years-old player has confirmed on Thursday that she will not play in Wimbledon.
Victoria was taking training on the grass court of the Minsk tennis center in the Belarusian capital and doing gym side by side.
The player faced defeat against Serena Williams in the straight sets at Wimbledon’s quarterfinals.
