New Delhi: Vivo, a tech company who sponsored the 2017 edition of IPL is all set to sponsor this cash rich tournament for the next five years. This company got sponsorship rights for 2,1999 Crore.
According to reports an official person of Vivo feel that the association has been extremely profitable. This current deal will now add more wings to BCCI as they will get an annual income of 420 Crore for the next five years.
Vivek Zhang, Vivo chief marketing officer went on to say: “The association with the IPL proved to be really beneficial for our brand and it was natural to continue the strong partnership. Cricket is big in India and IPL is only getting better and bigger with each passing year. And not just cricket we believe in promoting other sports too and therefore the association with Kabaddi. We recently got associated with the FIFA World Cup for the next six years”.
Vivo, earlier in May signed a deal for title sponsorship with Pro Kabaddi League for the next five years. Later, in the same month, they also bagged a deal with FIFA for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
