VK Sasikala returns Bengaluru prison after 5-day parole ends

Chennai: Deposed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala on Thursday returned to the Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bengaluru as her five-day parole for meeting her ailing husband ended on Wednesday.

According to sources, Sasikala met her husband M Natrajan(74), who underwent liver and kidney transplantation at a hospital. She visited her husband on all five days of her parole period.

As per Gleneagles Global Health City, where Natarajan underwent organ transplantations on October 4 and a tracheotomy two days later, he is recovering well.

After spending eight months in jail for corruption, Sasikala obtained a five-day parole from the Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bengaluru. Her relatives Ilavarasi and V N Sudhakaran are also serving four-year jail terms in the case.

Sasikala was granted emergency parole from October 7 to 11 on several conditions. She was banned from any political activity or statements to the media. Also, she was asked stay at the house of her relative.

During her five-day parole, she stayed at the residence of Krishna Priya, daughter of her sister-in-law Ilavarasi.
