New Delhi: In a shocking and surprising incident a young girl standing in long queue outside a private bank branch to get her old demonetised currency notes exchanged in Delhi’s Mayur Vihar locality suddenly removed her top and poses seminude as she got frustrated by standing for hours in the line.
The incident was reported yesterday when a young girl standing in a line at Mayur Vihar phase 3 bank to exchange notes.
According to reports a video circulated on WhatsApp, a woman who was frustrated by waiting in line at an ATM in Mayur Vihar Phase 3 in New Delhi took off her shirt in protest against the shortage of the currency by the ban imposed on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
The people standing nearby felt shocked and a women police personnel was called at the scene to made her cover up. The woman was then taken to Ghazipur Police Station.
Police at the Ghazipur police station claimed the person involved in the incident is a transgender who wasn’t allowed to stand in the queue.
Crowds outside banks and ATMs across India showed no signs of abating on Sunday as people line up to exchange demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes for new ones.
The stunt however seemed to have worked in her favour, because after brief questioning, the woman was taken to a nearby ATM where she was able to withdraw cash.
