Who will be the winner of IPL 9 if it rains today?

After all the excitement and thrill cricket fans witnessed in the Indian Premier League 9, no one would be hoping that the final between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad of this limited over tournament will be rain-washed.

IPL 9 final is scheduled to be played today between RCB and SRH but the rain factor is worrying the teams, management and the cricketing fans as well.

As per the BCCI guideline Monday has been kept as the reserve day on the condition if it rains today.
5-5 over match can be played today itself if the rain stops. Time for 5—5 over match is kept 12:26 am to 1:20 am which will include 10 minutes break, however, there would be no timeout in between.

If it rains after the match starts, then the remaining over’s of the match will be played from there onwards on Monday that is the reserved day. On the reserved day apart from the mandatory 3 hours 20 minutes there would be two extra hours kept for the completion of the match.

If it happens that we don’t get a match on after the toss then the entire 20 over match would be played on the reserved day i.e Monday. Both the teams will be provided with the facility to change the playing eleven.
If match gets washed on Monday as well an we even cannot get 5-5 over match then the winner would be decided by the super over. For the super over to be played, the ground and pitch has to be ready by 1:20 am.

The last condition is that if the match is not played on Sunday and Monday then the winner would be decided keeping in mind where the team stands in the points table after 56 matches. RCB will be the declared winners if this happens to be the case as they have better run-rate than SRH.
