Woman, daughters with multiple stab injuries, found dead in Delhi

New Delhi: In the national capital, triple murder has been reported in the city’s Brahmapuria area.

On Saturday evening, in northeast Delhi’s Brahmapuri area a 50-year-old woman and her two daughters (19 years and 9 years) were found dead at their residence. The incident came into light at 6:30 pm when the neighbours called up the police complaining of the unpleasant smell coming from their house. The residence was locked from inside.

A senior police official said that on opening the house, the police recovered three decomposed bodies of the three.

The deceased were identified as Saira (50-year-old) and her daughters Mehrunisha and Shabnam. The official said that all three of them had been stabbed numerable times and Saira’s throat was found slit with a sharp object.

Initial probe mentions that the three might have been killed three days ago.

Also, the official added the entire house was in a chaos hinting it to be a case of robbery leading to a brawl between the victims and the thieves.

As of now, the bodies have been sent for post mortem and a case of murder has been registered.

Saira was reportedly involved in a property dispute with the family of her dead husband’s second wife.
