Beijing: China’s Hunan Province today opened the world’s longest and highest glass bridge for visitors which have set ten world records for its design and construction.
The glass bridge is 430 meters long, six meters wide, with 99 panes of three layers transparent glasses that hang between two steep cliffs above 300 meters from the ground.
According to management committee, the bridge has set ten world records for its design and construction.
A maximum of 8,000 visitors are allowed to cross the bridge every day and a reservation must be made one day prior to visiting, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The construction of the bridge was completed in December.
