Yadav Family Rift: Mulayam Singh Yadav caught between son Akhilesh, brother Shivpal

Lucknow: There seems to be a rift within the Yadav family in Uttar Pradesh. If reports are to be believed, differences within this political family have come over SP’s merger with don, Mukhtar Ansari’s Quami Ekta Dal (QED). These reports have been doing rounds for quite some time now.

This possible alliance with merger of mafia don’s QED has led to a brawl between Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Singh Yadav. Also, this has made it difficult for the party and its supremo, Mulyam Sigh Yadav to sort it out.

Also, reports are that Akhilesh met his father Mulayam last night and said that he would not accept the merger of QED with SP. The CM does not wish to merge his party with QED as he feels that it would tamper SP’s image. On the other hand, other SP leaders feel that the merger would help attract Muslim Votes from the Poorvanchal region in the UP Polls.

This is the reason why Shivpal Singh Yadav has also been keeping unhappy with Akhilesh for not allowing the merger which was announce on June 21 by Samajwadi Party spokesman and senior Cabinet Minister Shipal Yadav .

This growing rift within the party would definitely cause damage to party in polls.
