Yogeshwar Dutt’s 2012 London Olympics Bronze medal upgraded to Silver

New Delhi: On Tuesday, the renowned Indian wrestler, Yogeshwar Dutt confirmed that the bronze medal from the London Olympics 2016 has now been upgraded to Silver. The wrestler took to Twitter to share the same.

This comes after the accused; Besik Kudukhov from Russia failed the dope test which was conducted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Number of reports said that Kudukhov had used banned substances during the match.

Two-time Olympic medallist Kudukhov died in a car accident in 2013 in southern Russia. Yogi will be the second Indian wrestler to have won silver after Sushil Kumar.
