Youth detained for stone pelting escapes from custody

Srinagar: According to the information given by the police, a youth arrested for stone pelting escaped from the custody of police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district today.

As per the police, the accused youth identified as Zubiar Ahmad Tantray escaped from police custody in Keegan village of Shopian.

A resident of Bonbazar area of Shopian town, Tantray had been arrested for stone pelting in 2015. He was later booked under the Public Safety Act.
